The Solar People did an upgrade to my solar system 2 years ago , it’s improved the output to such an extent we now have batteries fitted. The upgrades have more than doubled the benefits I get from my solar and the cost has already been recouped. By December 2020 I also expect to have recouped the cost of the Battery system. We already had solar panels but were very interested in updating our system with batteries. Andrew and Matt were really helpful, with Matt coming to our house to check things out. Matt explained clearly the cost benefits of different system upgrades. There was never any push to go with the more expensive solutions and he
even suggested fewer batteries than we initially thought we would need, as you can always extend the system if it turns out you need to. The work was carried out in half a day, with plenty of notifications so we were kept in the loop. We were recently asked to install a battery storage system for a customer near Marlow, Upon a site survey it became apparent that something was not right with his 18 month old solar system. The company that installed it connected two opposing elevations on one string despite the inverter having the capacity for two strings. We rectified this whilst installing the battery.

Great service and price for a superb battery setup to add to my solar PV.

I called The Solar People for a quote on the equipment I had chosen. I had
done a lot of research and thought I knew what I wanted. Andy patiently
answered all my questions and clearly understood my needs.

He proposed a different configuration which met my needs better at a
slightly increased cost (greater peak output) and explained why. I agreed to his proposal and was
given a very competitive quote including installation.

We were able to do a survey remotely with photos and a phone call to confirm
the installation was feasible.

Mark the electrician did a great install and after 3 hrs was up and running. It has integrated perfectly with my solar PV system.

It has performed exactly to spec so far and with all the sunshine I am
already ahead of budget.

My next goal is to start to use the Time of Use tariffs that are available
from Octopus Energy.

I have had continuing help with my many questions, only decision will be
when to add more batteries!

The Solar People installed our solar panel system a few weeks ago, and we are really pleased with the outcome. The panels are working well, and we are able to monitor how much electricity they are generating via an app. The Solar People also keep an eye on things remotely to ensure that everything is working well, for added peace of mind. My only comment would be that their communication could have been better, particularly in the time between ordering the system and having it installed. We needed to chase them up to find out when they were coming to do the installation, and sometimes they didn’t return our calls. This made us a little anxious as we had already paid our deposit by this time. However, they were clearly getting on with things behind the scenes despite the fact that they weren’t keeping us informed, just extremely busy. The after-sales service has been excellent though. They have taken the time to talk me through the process of registering the warranty online and getting set up with the Export Guarantee with the utility company, which has been invaluable. My overall impression of the company is that they care about their customers and want to ensure that we are happy with what we have bought. The system is functioning as it should, and they have provided excellent value for money. Thank you so much Andy.

Having decided that I wished to install a storage battery, by chance I clicked on “The Solar People”. I spoke to Andy on the phone who was extremely helpful and gave me very good advice with a recommendation of Alpha Batteries. He came across as someone who knew his products and fully understood my requirements. Straight talking, no sales pitch, and no waffle. A site visit was arranged and I was immediately given a fitting date 3 weeks later. Batteries duly arrived and were fitted on schedule by a 2 man team, again both very efficient and helpful. The following morning I was contacted by Andy to check all was okay, I emailed back with a couple of questions relating to the App. Andy then phoned me back within minutes to clarify my queries. Outstanding service.
The Solar People team have done an amazing job with our Solar PV and Battery Storage. From the design to the installation we have been very well looked after. Our system has been installed for over a month now and we have seen a huge difference in our electricity bill, dropping from £165 a month (£2,000 a year) to less than £25 a month, estimating an annual bill of £300 which is 85% less than it used to be.
We of course faced multiple delays due to the shortage in micro inverters and fitting gear but Andrew Duffin always kept us up to date. Alone with being completely transparent and honest.
I’ve already recommended The Solar People to 2 friends and one family member. If I had to extend or upgrade my system in the future I will definitely come back to them. I hope this helps anyone out there looking for a Solar PV and/or Battery Storage.

Call it good luck if you like, but the installed Enphase system has exceeded our expectations in every way.

Customer care has been excellent through from first contact with Julia, the sale process with Matthew and throughout, the personal calls to clarify and reassure from MD Andrew Duffin.

Even now, when we are out and about we are able to monitor our system via an app on the mobile phone.

The paperwork and certificates are all handled by the company, along with 10 years of 24/7 tracking for problems by the office and all backed by amazingly long guarantees.

We feel we are getting the Rolls Royce of current solar technology at a price that does not make the eyes water!!!
