Lower Dale farm
Lower Dale Farm Equestrian Centre, Marple was originally built in 1719 and has been fully renovated to a 5 star highly commended BHS (British Horse Society) approved Livery. Also situated within the grounds on the banks of the river Goyt are Magpie Cottages and Spa which form part of Lower Dale Farm Equestrian Centre.
The owners of Lower Dale made the decision to purchase a 30KWp Solar PV System giving them 120 Solar Panels. With the spa operating 7 days a week and the constant use of lighting in the equestrian centre, the panels will pay for themselves in under 7 years. The decision to purchase the Solar panel system has also been a smart investment opportunity.
If you invest £36,000.00 in a bank or building society with an average annual interest rate of 2.50% at the end of 20 years your investment would grow to: £57,551.41 However, if you invest the same amount as suggested in this PV Solar proposal the cumulative income and electric savings after 20 years would be in the order of £139,175.42 made up of the FIT income (£30,722.45), electric exported income (£18,416.54) and the electric savings (£90,036.42) which equates to an annual return on investment of 13.69% or a TAX FREE return on investment (AER) of 6.99%.
