My solar array was just over five years old and the inverter was out of warranty. Light Group contacted me about a battery storage system but I expained that I thought my inverter was broken. They put me on a priority call out for no fee. Diagnosed the old inverter as having a “tracker” problem the same day. A new inverter was fitted two days later in only one hour. I got my solar panels on the top tariff so every day the system was down was costing me hard cash. Since then Light Group have installed additional performance enancing products.

According to British Gas my system was performing at about 72%. I had the SolarEdge upgrade installed and I am now at 102%. Can’t ask for more than that.

The company that installed my solar panels failed to tell me that I had to register for the FIT. I only found out after April 2016 and, of course, now I can’t register. The energy company is making money from my solar panels because I don’t use much during the day. By installing a battery storage system with TSP I now keep the unused electricity for me to use a night. I am now happy again.

I contacted The Solar People’s parent company Light Group about a PowerVault storage system. Every other company I contacted told me there were none available. Andy got to work on his suppliers and within five days it was installed. Excelent work.
